Percussionist, Drummer, Private Instructor
Timothy Heath is currently an active performer and educator in Greensboro, North Carolina. He holds an associate’s degree in Music and is currently finishing a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His primary teachers have included Dr. Jonathon Wacker, Tracey Wiggins, Dr. Nathan Daughtrey, Jonan Keeny, and Wiley Sikes.
Timothy currently performs with The Worship Team of Westover Church and Triad Brass. His professional career started as touring drummer with the Contemporary Christian Group Zacchaeus Tree. He later worked for First Colony Records recording artist Charlie Albertson. With Albertson, he recorded “Try Jesus” which reached number 48 on the Country Gospel Charts. Other artists have included Victor Hudson, Frail, and the Joshua Band. He has also worked with various orchestras including The Wilson Symphony (Wilson, NC) and The Greensboro Philharmonia (Greensboro, NC).
As an educator he has maintained a private studio for over six years. He currently teaches for Music Go’Round, Moore Music (Greensboro, NC), The UNC Greensboro Community Music School, and various high school marching percussion sections for indoor and outdoor drum line. As a clinician, Timothy travels the southeastern part of the US giving clinics to middle school and high school percussion sections. Timothy is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and the Vic Firth Educational Team.
