About
me:
I was born and raised in Tennessee. I started playing guitar and
drums when I was 10 years old. Soon after that, I traveled around
the southeast playing drums for my father's country band. I formed
rock bands in high school and also marched drum and bugle corps
during the summer breaks. My passion for performing drove me to
leave college and pursue drumming as a career.
I moved to Atlanta and began looking for work in a rock band. I
found a lot of work with blues artists and college rock bands in the
metro area. Next, I moved a couple of hours south to Macon where I
hooked up with a powerful jam ensemble and toured the southeast once
again.
Eventually, music led me back home to Nashville. I wanted to settle
down and find my place in Music City. I was fortunate to meet some
wonderful people who helped me realize a great opportunity. At age
21, I landed a job as the drummer for Lee Roy Parnell and the Hot
Links. I was able to tour the world and play for large audiences in
support of Lee Roy's "Tell The Truth" album.
After a couple of years
of priceless experience, I decided to move in another direction once
again. I auditioned for a slot in Phil Vassar's road band and it
felt like a very positive step for me. I have been with Phil Vassar
and the Eighty Eights for more than two years and we are having a
great time out there.
